Youth Futsal Teams

4-5pm 7th and 8th Grade Boys and Girls

Tryouts will take place at the Park School.
Anyone interested in playing futsal must register for tryouts using the link below.

Program Overview


For: Boys and Girls 3-8th grades 

When: Practices start the week of 11/26/2018 and continue through the week of 3/4/2019

League Play: 9+ games in Northeast Futsal Association’s Youth Premier League (Brookline, Newton, Weston, and Cambridge). Game dates: 12/1-2, 12/8-9, 12/15-16, 1/12-13, 1/19-20, 1/26-27, 2/2-3, 2/9-10,  2/16-17, Playoffs 3/2-3. Girls team play on Saturdays. Boys Teams play on Sundays.

Tournament Play: 3+ games in Northeast Futsal Association’s Beantown Cup. January 5th Girls Tournament. January 6th Boys Tournament. Locations: Kennedy School, Waltham and Shady Hill School, Cambridge

Practices: Teams will have 2 60min practices per week.

Practice Facilities: Park School, Winsor School, Melnea Cass Recreation Center. 

Coaches: Experienced Futsal Staff Coaches

Assistant Coaches: Parent volunteers

Team Size: 8-12 players

Tryouts: October 21st between 12 and 5pm. (full schedule TBD).

Registration Fees: $650.

Uniforms: Players will purchase CHSC uniforms on the CHSC Online store at soccer.com. Uniforms will consist of 2 shirts (navy and white), 1 shorts (navy) and 1 pair socks (white). Estimated Uniform Cost: $50-70 with a 2-3 year life cycle

Futsal Staff

Rob Sprague

Club Director, Director of Soccer Programs, Futsal Coach

Rob Sprague is the Director of the Chestnut Hill Soccer Club. Rob has been the Brookline Soccer Club’s Director of Coaching since 2003.  He is the Girls Varsity Head Coach at Brookline High School (since 2014) and was a three time GU17 Head Coach for Massachusetts ODP.  Coach Sprague was the Eastern Mass. Girls  Coaches Association's Coach of the Year in 2016. 

Coach Sprague holds USSF “B” and “C” Licenses.

Fabio Lima

Futsal Technical Director, Futsal Coach

 


Coach Fabio grew up in Brazil and has been coaching soccer for over 25 years. 

Coach Lima played soccer in College, where he earned a Physical Education and Sports degree. After graduation, Coach Lima became an assistant coach for Clube Atletico Mineiro who plays in the first division in Brazil. Later he became a coach for the Brazilian Soccer School - CBF and GOL Brazil. Since moving to the USA Coach Lima has coached for Super Soccer Stars, Boston Stars Premier, America FC United, Chestnut Hill Boys U17, Wolves Futsal Boys U14, Brookline Soccer Club Boys U14 and Girls U12. 

Coach Lima has a CBF/FIFA coaching license and an NSCAA Advanced National coaching license.

Ben Peters

Director of Futsal Programs, Club Registrar, Futsal Coach



Coach Peters was born in Germany, lived in Canada for 15 years, lived in Germany for 5 years and has now been in the US for 7 years. Played on one of the top teams in Ontario, Canada growing up. Played 1 year of youth soccer in Germany and 1 year on a semi-pro team in the Netherlands. Coach Peters started his undergraduate degree in Health and Wellness in the fall of 2007 in Upstate NY at SUNY Oswego where he played 4 years of varsity soccer. He also obtained a minor in Athletic Coaching while completing his undergraduate degree. After finishing his undergraduate degree in the fall of 2011 Coach Peters coached a U14 girls team and the JV girls high school team in Oswego, NY. In 2013 he started his Master’s degree in International Sport Management at SUNY Cortland. Ben is the Assistant Coach of the Girls Varsity Soccer Team at Brookline High School and the Head Coach of the Mens Soccer Team at Wheelock College. Ben is also a Select Coach with the Brookline Soccer Club.

Coach Peters holds a NSCAA National Diploma.
