CHSC has partnered with Draper Performance to provide our community with online youth fitness classes during this period of Social Distancing. We can use the power of the internet to keep kids fit (60 min workouts) and socially connected (LIVE classes up to 20 participants).
Our Performance Online classes are appropriate for kids of all ages but are specifically designed for 5th through 8th graders.

Samantha holds a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Sport Science and a coaching certificate from Colby-Sawyer College and is ACSM certified Exercise Physiologist/Personal Trainer, NASM Golf Fitness Specialist, Titleist Performance Institute Coach and Nutrition Coach.
Sam’s approach to fitness emphasizes age-appropriate programming with a specific focus on cardiovascular and strength training in combination with balance and flexibility training. Sam helps clients master basic functional movements to improve their strength and fitness in order to build a foundation for further gains. She defines her sessions as simple, challenging, and efficient with an emphasis on proper form and mobility. Sam aims to educate clients, help them obtain positive behavior change, and create lifelong healthy habits. Sam believes wholeheartedly that movement is a necessary component of physical and mental wellness.
Rob Sprague is the Director of the Chestnut Hill Soccer Club. Rob has been the Brookline Soccer Club’s Director of Coaching since 2003. He is the Girls Varsity Head Coach at Brookline High School (since 2014) and was a three time GU17 Head Coach for Massachusetts ODP. Coach Sprague was the Eastern Mass. Girls Coaches Association's Coach of the Year in 2016.
Coach Sprague holds USSF “B” and “C” Licenses.
Rob earned a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from Boston University and has over 10 years of experience specializing in Pediatrics.
How do I sign up for Performance Live Streaming Classes?
You can sign up and pay for Performance Online classes using the online registration system. Classes are limited to 20 participants so sign up now to reserve your spot.
Why are online classes limited to 20 participants?
We aim to provide an interactive experience for our participants. By limiting our classes to a maximum of 20 participants, we can insure that our instructors can provide feedback (proper form is important), motivate, and moderate socialization.
How do I join the class online?
We'll use SKYPE to broadcast the class. A link will be sent to you via email a ½ hour before the class starts. Please make sure to check your spam folder if you haven’t received the email as it sometimes can make its way in there. If you still have not received the email, please email Sam Draper for the link.
I do NOT want to be on camera!
No problem at all! There is an option to turn your camera off. We encourage you to keep your camera on so that we can check your form, but we also understand that not everyone likes to be on camera.
What if it is noisy at my house? Will it be distracting for the rest of the class?
Once the actual class starts, we mute everyone so you can only hear the instructor. We keep you un-muted before the class so you can chat with the other members of the class. You can also mute on your end. We will also give you time at the end of class to chat and talk about the workout or anything else of interest.
Do I need any special equipment?
You only need yourself and possibly a towel or water bottle. We are working hard to keep things interesting and challenging so depending on how long this goes for, we may add in some weights or band options.
What if I'm not available during Live Streaming class times?
Then you can participate through Performance On-Demand. Each of our daily classes are available for you to rent for a 24 hour period of time.
