Performance  - Strength and Fitness Programs

 

Players need strength, agility, flexibility, endurance, power and speed so they can attain their highest potential and prevent injuries. The Chestnut Hill Sport Club has partnered with oPTimal Fit Physical Therapy to provide 8-10 week, after school Performance Programs for athletes of all sports.

Our Performance Classes are held at the HealthWorks Health Club - 1300 Boylston St (Rt 9) in Chestnut Hill.

Winter 2019 - 10 Week Performance Programs

Players have Three Registration options to choose from:

EXTRA FIT:

1 training session/week ($250.00)

IMPACT PLAYER:

2 training sessions/week ($460)

TOTAL BEAST:

3 training sessions/week ($690)

Winter Performance Class Details

Winter Performance will offer 10 weeks of training. Classes will start the week of 1/7/19 and continue through the week of 3/22/19. There are no classes the week of February Vacation.

Spring Performance - 2019

Spring Performance Classes are expected to run 4/1/19 to 6/7/19 with no class on Memorial Day (6/10/19 make up class). Class details will be posted in February, 2019.

Program Directors

Susan Laughlin, MPT - Optimal Fit

Susan is a graduate of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and has over 20 years of clinical experience.  She specializes in manual therapy to complement her orthopedic clinical skills in the areas of:

  • sports medicine
  • post-surgical rehabilitation
  • extremity and spine mobilization
  • myofascial release
  • muscle energy
  • spinal stabilization
  • pelvic floor and womens health
  • balance
  • low back pain
  • sacroilliac dysfunction
  • posture
  • adolescent sports strength, conditioning, and injury prevention
  • pediatrics
  • stretching program
  • home exercise programs

Rob Sprague, MPT – CHSC

Rob Sprague is the Director of the Chestnut Hill Soccer Club. Rob has been the Brookline Soccer Club’s Director of Coaching since 2003.  He is the Girls Varsity Head Coach at Brookline High School (since 2014) and was a three time GU17 Head Coach for Massachusetts ODP.  Coach Sprague was the Eastern Mass. Girls  Coaches Association's Coach of the Year in 2016. 

Coach Sprague holds USSF “B” and “C” Licenses.

Rob earned a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from Boston University and has over 10 years of experience specializing in Pediatrics.

Player Fitness Partnership

 

The Chestnut Hill Sports Club, Optimal Fit Physical Therapy and HealthWorks (Rt 9, Chestnut Hill) have partnered to provide players the very best in "Sport Specific" training opportunities.

This dynamic partnership combines the very best in fitness facilities, soccer coaches, strength coaches and physical therapists. Players will be able to take their game to a new level through programs aimed at: injury prevention, fitness, skills and global wellness.
