Rob Sprague is the Director of the Chestnut Hill Soccer Club. Rob has been the Brookline Soccer Club’s Director of Coaching since 2003. He is the Girls Varsity Head Coach at Brookline High School (since 2014) and was a three time GU17 Head Coach for Massachusetts ODP. Coach Sprague was the Eastern Mass. Girls Coaches Association's Coach of the Year in 2016.
Coach Sprague holds USSF “B” and “C” Licenses.
Colleen grew up in Brookline and graduated from Brookline High School in 2002. She played field hockey and lacrosse throughout high school and continued field hockey at the club level while attending Roanoke College in Virginia. Colleen has coached all levels of field hockey at Brookline High and has been the Varsity coach since 2014. In addition, Colleen has coached both freshmen and junior varsity lacrosse at the high school. Colleen has a Master of Arts in Teaching from Simmons College and is currently in her 11th year of teaching grades 6-8 Spanish at the Runkle School in Brookline.
Coach Alex played division 1 soccer at the University of Maine, Orono before transferring to Bentley University (Waltham, MA) to study business. Alex was the starting goalkeeper at Bentley University (div 2 -Waltham, MA) under the coaching of New England Revolution goalkeeper Bobby Shuttlesworth. Before transferring to Bentley, Alex was the head coach of the Junior Varsity soccer program at North Yarmouth Academy as well as the assistant varsity coach (Yarmouth, ME 2010/11), At the same time he was also the head goalkeeper coach for Foot Skills Soccer Club of Southern Maine. After graduating Bentley in 2013 Alex became the Brookline Soccer Club's GK Coach.
Coach Fabio grew up in Brazil and has been coaching soccer for over 25 years.
Coach Lima played soccer in College, where he earned a Physical Education and Sports degree. After graduation, Coach Lima became an assistant coach for Clube Atletico Mineiro who plays in the first division in Brazil. Later he became a coach for the Brazilian Soccer School - CBF and GOL Brazil. Since moving to the USA Coach Lima has coached for Super Soccer Stars, Boston Stars Premier, America FC United, Chestnut Hill Boys U17, Wolves Futsal Boys U14, Brookline Soccer Club Boys U14 and Girls U12.
Coach Lima has a CBF/FIFA coaching license and an NSCAA Advanced National coaching license.
Morgan Redman has been coaching for three years, since graduating from Stanford University in 2011. She was a 4-year member of the soccer team at Stanford and during this time, Stanford won two Pac-10 titles and appeared in two national championship games. Following graduation, Morgan coached for two years at Stanford Soccer Club in Palo Alto, CA (GU13-15) before relocating to Boston to pursue a Masters in Public Health. She has been coaching at Brookline Soccer Club since moving to Boston in Fall 2013.
Coach Redman holds a USSF “D” License and a NSCAA National Diploma.
Phi was born in the Philippines and he has lived in Boston for over the past 20 years. Phi is well known throughout the Boston communities with his knowledge of grass roots soccer and his involvements at many different levels of the game.He has been a talent evaluator for Massachusetts Olympic Development Program for two years.He has been coaching with BSC since the fall of 2013.
Coach Nguyen has a USSF “D” License and holds both a NSCAA National Diploma and GK Level 1 Diploma.
Zach played his college soccer at Lesley University where he was a captain and a two time All-Conference selection. Zach was the Head Coach for the Mens Soccer Team at Anna Maria College. He has also coached club soccer at EMFC, the New England Revolution Academy and NEFC. Zach has worked as the Director of Coaching Development for the New Bedford Youth Soccer Association and Managed the Metro North Regional Development Center for NEFC.
Coach Rocha holds a NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, Director of Coaching Diploma and a Goalkeeping Level One Diploma.
Coach Peters was born in Germany, lived in Canada for 15 years, lived in Germany for 5 years and has now been in the US for 7 years. Played on one of the top teams in Ontario, Canada growing up. Played 1 year of youth soccer in Germany and 1 year on a semi-pro team in the Netherlands. Coach Peters started his undergraduate degree in Health and Wellness in the fall of 2007 in Upstate NY at SUNY Oswego where he played 4 years of varsity soccer. He also obtained a minor in Athletic Coaching while completing his undergraduate degree. After finishing his undergraduate degree in the fall of 2011 Coach Peters coached a U14 girls team and the JV girls high school team in Oswego, NY. In 2013 he started his Master’s degree in International Sport Management at SUNY Cortland. Ben is the Assistant Coach of the Girls Varsity Soccer Team at Brookline High School and the Head Coach of the Mens Soccer Team at Wheelock College. Ben is also a Select Coach with the Brookline Soccer Club.
Coach Peters holds a NSCAA National Diploma.
Coach Sell is originally from Connecticut where he played both high school and semi-professional soccer. He began his coaching career in CT before moving to Boston in 2013. In 2014 Andrew coached the BHS Girls JV Soccer Team and has been a Varsity Assistant during the 2015 and 2016 seasons. Coach Sell is also a Select Coach with the Brookline Soccer Club. He is currently earning his degree in Music Education from Umass Boston. Coach Sell holds a USSF E license and a NSCAA National Diploma.
Antonio grew up in Stoughton, Massachusetts. He played club soccer throughout high school and college in addition to running Division III track and cross country at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. From 2007 through 2010, Antonio was an assistant varsity head coach and head junior varsity soccer coach at New Hampton Prep. Since 2013, Antonio has coached youth teams with Brookline Soccer Club as well as the Freshman and JV boys at Brookline High School. Antonio has a Master of Arts in Teaching from Simmons College currently teaches Spanish at the Pierce School in Brookline.
Antonio holds a NSCAA National Diploma.
Abby van Geldern has been coaching since graduating from St. Lawrence University in 2012. She was a 4-year starting goalkeeper for the women's soccer team at St. Lawrence. Following graduation, Abby was the Assistant Soccer Coach for the women's soccer team at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. After moving to Boston to work as a College Counselor, Abby continued coaching as the Assistant Goalkeeper Coach at Wellesley College in 2016.
Kara Stafford Joseph has been the Girls Varsity Head Coach at Boston Latin Academy since 2013. Prior to that she served as the Junior Varsity Head Coach at Boston Latin Academy for four seasons and as Assistant Coach at the John D. O'Bryant School of Mathematics and Science in 2007. She provided goalkeeper training and was GU14 coach for South End Rush in 2015. She hails from San Diego, where she played Varsity Soccer at Torrey Pines High School and Premier Soccer with the La Jolla Nomads. She was a member of the Northeastern University Women's Team from 2004-5 and of the San Diego Gauchos W-League team in 2005.
Coach Stafford holds a USSF National "D" license and an NSCAA Goalkeeper State Diploma Level 1.
